Crashes probed

State police at Fern Ridge reported on crashes investigated by troopers recently.

A one vehicle crash occurred about 4:45 p.m on Wednesday, Oct. 13, along Warner Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Bobbi J. Dively, 37, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2002 Dodge Durango westbound when the vehicle went onto the north berm and struck a mailbox. The truck then crossed into the eastbound lane with Dively over-correcting the steering and crossed back to the westbound lane and onto the berm again. The truck then struck a tree with the front passenger side, rotated 180-degrees and continued west.The truck then struck a ditch with its rear end causing it to roll over onto the passenger side and then its roof. The truck came to rest on its roof facing southeast.Dively was not injured. West End Fire Company and ambulance personnel assisted at the scene. Dively was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.A crash occurred about 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 8 along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Luis A. Ortiz, 29, of Hazleton, was driving a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant eastbound when he said he swerved to avoid a deer on the road. The car went onto the berm and struck a tree. Ortiz was not injured but two passengers, Liz M. Delgado Camacho, 26, and Keisliam M. Ortiz, 3, both of Hazleton, were injured and taken by Lake Harmony ambulance to the Geisinger Medical Center-Plains Township, Luzerne County, for treatment.Troopers investigated a crash about 10:52 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, along SR715 in Jackson Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Garrett M. Brunnquell, 25, of Hackettstown, N.J., was driving a 2010 Suzuki SX4 southbound when he swerved to avoid a deer on the road. The vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole.Brunnquell and passenger, Erica L. Styler, 25, of Forked River, N.J., were both uninjured. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.A crash occurred about 6:54 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, also involving a deer. Troopers said Elizabeth A. Lutz, 25, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Equnox eastbound on Sugar Hollow Road, in Chestnuthill Township, when a deer ran onto the road in front of her. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it. Lutz was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
