The Marian volleyball team remained unbeaten on the season to highlight Monday's scholastic sports card.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALLHazleton-MarianOn Senior Night, it was Marian's upperclassmen who got the best of Hazleton for a 25-8, 25-12, 25-10 non-league win.Senior Rachel Krajcirik led the Fillies (13-0) with 21 service points, 19 assists, 10 aces and seven digs.Seniors Tori Vadyak (seven kills, three aces, three digs); Kathleen Reilly (six kills, two blocks); Cathleen Cataldo chipped in with (12 digs); Laura Cinicola (two kills); Taylor Mele (seven kills, five assists, nine digs) and Katie Collevechio (three assists, three aces, two digs) all stepped up on their night to shine.In the JV game, Marian posted a 25-17, 25-19 win.Panther Vy.-Jim ThorpeIn a battle of two local Schuylkill League programs, it was Panther Valley that won bragging rights with a 25-13, 25-21, 25-18 victory over Jim Thorpe.Celene Yelito recorded eight assists, eight service points and four aces for the Panthers (7-7). Steph Kachelries (nine service points, eight digs); Lindsay Kusko (eight service points); Deanna Focht (six kills) and Amy Yusella (seven kills) also played well.The Olympians' Brittany Holland finished with 12 digs. Alexandria Ventrella ended with five kills.In the JV game, Jim Thorpe earned a 15-25, 25-15, 25-18 win over Panther Valley.Shenandoah Valley-WeatherlyWeatherly rolled to a 25-15, 25-19, 25-19 Schuylkill League victory over Shenandoah Valley.Rachel Heister paced the Wreckers with 25 assists, six digs and three aces while Sarah Dolinsky added 14 digs, seven kills and one block.Brittany Hinkle contributed 15 kills, 10 digs, three aces and two blocks for the Wreckers (13-4; 6-4). Alicia Panzarella finished with 14 digs and two assists; Alyysa Kephard recorded seven kills, six digs, three blocks and three aces and Sam Strizak had eight digs.In the JV game, Shenandoah Valley edged Weatherly, 26-24, 25-22.BOYS SOCCERPalmerton-TamaquaGonzalo Cascante scored a goal in each half to lift Tamaqua to a 2-0 non-league win over Palmerton.The Bombers held a 13-5 edge in shots on goal as well as a 5-2 margin in corner kicks.The Blue Raiders' Zach Lakitsky grabbed five saves to post the shutout victory.
