Cyclist admits going 103 mph in Summit Hill

A motorcyclist admitted going 103 miles-per-hour in Summit Hill, and defendants in pending drug cases entered guilty pleas in Carbon County court on Thursday. Senior Judge Richard W. Webb presided and accepted the pleas.

Fleeing and eludingJohn M. Cambria-Raygoza, 23, of Summit Hill, admitted driving his bike along E. White Bear Drive at 103 mph in a 45 zone and then fled borough police officers. He crashed the bike a short time later and was taken into custody.Webb told Raygoza he was lucky to be alive and if he continued such conduct, "you won't see 30." Raygoza told Webb he no longer has the motorcycle.Raygoza pleaded to one count of fleeing and eluding police, driving under suspension and two motor vehicle code violations.Webb placed him on probation for a year and imposed total fines of $341 and costs.Drug casesA Lansford man was sentenced to a state prison term after pleading to charges stemming from a drug incident.Frederick Daqua King, 39, pleaded to one count of resisting arrest and tampering with evidence. A drug possession charge was dropped in a plea bargain.King was arrested on May 24 by Lansford police after officers observed suspicious activity in the parking lot of the Turkey Hill along Patterson St. in which King was involved.Officers stopped King in his vehicle a short distance from the store. King was removed from his vehicle and found in one of his pockets were three baggies of a white powdered substance believed to be cocaine. While officers were speaking with King, he grabbed two of the bags that were laying on the trunk of his car and put them in his mouth. Police struggled with him to spit out the baggies, but he swollowed them.King was on state parole at the time of the incident on a charge for drug possession imposed in Schuylkill County. He is presently in the state prison at Mahanoy Township awaiting action by the state parole board for a violation based on the Carbon arrest.Webb sentenced him to serve six to 12 months in state prison on each count, running concurrently. Webb also gave King a break by running the terms concurrent with the Schuylkill sentence.Casey Kreiger, 23, of Beaver Meadows, pleaded to one count of possession of a controlled substance-heroin. He was arrested at his residence on July 30.Borough police went to his home to serve a warrant on him on another matter. During a patdown search police found 12 small baggies of heroin on him.Kreiger was on probation at the time and is currently being held on the county prison on a detainer filed by the adult probation office.Webb placed him on probation for 18 months and ordered a drug and alcohol (D&A) evaluation and follow any recommedation for treatment. Kreiger will remain in the prison pending a probation revocation hearing to be scheduled at a later date.Other pleasOther defendants in pending cases who entered guilty pleas included:Joseph Kosalko Jr., 30, of Albrightsville, pleaded guilty to one count each of institutional vandalism and persistent disorderly conduct.He was arrested on Nov. 11, 2009, at 45 W. Vernon St. in Summit Hill. Borough police responded to the scene for a reported protection from abuse (PFA) order violation.Kosalko became combative with officers at the police station and in the police vehicle. He caused damages to the police cruiser by repeatedly spitting in it.Webb placed him on probation for six months on each count, running concurrently and ordered he attend anger management classes.Linda A. Radeline, 45, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to one count of persistent disorderly conduct. She was arrested on July 19 for an incident in Summit Hill at the residence of her then boyfriend, David Leone.Webb placed her on probation for a year and ordered she get a D&A and mental health evaluations.Tiffany Bright, 29, of Philadelphia, pleaded to one count of false identification to law enforcement. She was arrested on April 4 in Lansford in the 800 block of E. Patterson St. She gave a false name at a vehicle stop.She is currently in the county prison on a detainer filed by Philadlephia police for an active warrant and is also facing probation revocation for an incident in Schuylkill County.Webb placed her on probation for a year.Travis Wehnke, 19, of York, pleaded to one count of harassment, as a summary offense. He was arrested on June 12 along W. Main St. in Weatherly after police responded to a reported disturbance.Wehnke is currently in the county prison on a detainer filed by Luzerne County officials for a probation violation.Webb imposed a fine of $200.Kaitlin Stahler, 24, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of criminal conspiracy-false ID to law enforcement. She was arrested on May 30 by Nesquehoning police for an incident along W. Railroad St. which was part of a domestic incident.Webb placed her on probation for six months.Each defendant must also pay court costs and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
