DUI arrests in Monroe

Several driving under the influence (DUI) arrests were reported by Pocono Mountain Regional police.

On Friday, Oct. 8, officers responded to a report of an accident at the intersection of Jasmine Drive and Buttonwood Court, in A Pocono Country Place, in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township.Officers determined that Piotr Dul, 29, of Glendale, N.Y., the driver, was under the influence. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), in East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.Also on Oct. 8, police made a vehicle stop along SR611 and Pine Hill Rd., in Mt. Pocono, for motor vehicle code violations. Officers observed containers of alcohol inside the vehicle and determined that the driver, Allen Thomas, 62, of Reeders, had been drinking.Thomas failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the county DUI Center for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police added.On Sunday, Oct. 10, about 2:08 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle along SR196 near Mt. Pocono Self Storage, in Coolbaugh Township, for several vehicle code violations.The driver was identified as Karl A. Lindstrom, 46, of Tobyhanna. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to PMC for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said..
