A Schuylkill County driver was involved in a one vehicle crash in Lehigh County. State police at Fogelsville said the accident occurred about 12:54 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5, along SR309 in Lynn Township.

Troopers said Paul S. Phillips, 35, of New Philadelphia, was driving a 2004 Dodge Dakota truck northbound and going too fast for conditions due to a wet road while uphill and in a left curve. He lost control of the truck which traveled across the southbound lane and onto the berm where it struck two trees. The truck came to final rest against the trees.Troopers said Phillips then drove the truck to a nearby parking area.Phillips was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed from the scene. Phillips was cited for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed, troopers said.
