Schuylkill man jailed for threats

A Schuylkill County resident was jailed on Thursday, Sept. 30, charged with terroristic threats and simple assault stemming from an incident which also involved a gun.

State police at Frackille said the incident occurred at 137 S. Wylam St., in West Mahanoy Township, about 8:30 p.m. According to troopers during an argument Robert William Weyman Jr., of Frackville, allegedly struck Erin Weyman, also of Frackville, in the chest with a closed fist then approached the victim while holding a shotgun and made statements about harming the victim.Troopers said Robert Weyman was arraigned before duty District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, and committed to the county prison in lieu of $15,000 percentage bail.Troopers did not indicate the relationship between the suspect and the victim.
