Summit Hill Heritage Center to hold grand opening weekend

The Summit Hill Heritage Center on the corner of Hazard and Chestnut streets in the borough of Summit Hill will be hosting a grand opening this weekend, October 2nd and 3rd with lectures, special music, a big band, a magic show and more.

"We want to provide something for everyone", said SHHC President Debra Ranck. "We are especially excited to have musician Pat McGeehan here Saturday evening at 5 p.m. followed by karaoke, and the big band, 'After Hours' on Sunday at 1 p.m.Also on the schedule for Saturday is a special event for kids at 1p.m. Local historian and author Lee Mantz will speak on the history of Summit Hill at 2 p.m. "The Comedy and Magic of David" at 3

p.m.and L&B Karaoke at 7 p.m. On Sunday, after the big band at 4 p.m. there will be a light supper and dedication of the building by former St. Paul's UCC Minister Reverend Wilbur Albright with organist Randall Perry providing music."We will also be giving tours of the building and explaining our long range plans," said Ranck.The Open House starts at 11
