A Monroe County teen has been charged with retail theft.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on Sept. 22 about 1 p.m. officers were called to the Wal-Mart store in Mt. Pocono. Store security had a female in custody for theft.Police identified the suspect as Diamond Derival, 18, of East Stroudsburg. Derival allegedly attempted to removed $101 worth of merchandise from the store by placing it in her purse and walking out the front doors. She was stopped by security and held until police arrived.She was issued a citation and released, police added.
