All-Night Party

The Panther Valley High School Class of 2011 parents will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at the high school to discuss plans for the All-Night Party.Summit HillOLOF SodalityThe Our Lady of Fatima Sodality of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will hold its annual Mass and breakfast celebration on Sunday, Oct. 17.The women will attend Mass together at 9 a.m. that day in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, followed by the breakfast in the church hall.Those attending are asked to contact Dorothy Gieniec, (570) 645-5697, or Pat Lipar, 645-5203.Lions to meetThe kick-off meeting for the new year for the Summit Hill Lions Club will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 6 p.m. in the Parkview Inn. Dr. Kenneth Vermillion, president, will be in charge of the session and reminds members to note the new starting times of meetings.This will be a dinner meeting. Although there will be no guest speaker, a number of reports from activities over the summer will be presented.Methodist ChargeThe schedule for the Coaldale/Summit Hill United Methodist Charge for Sunday, Sept. 26, is as follows:Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church and at 11 a.m. in the Coaldale United Methodist Church. The Rev. Burgess Gordon, pastor, will officiate at both services. A service of Holy Communion will be held.The adult Sunday school will be held at 10 a.m. in the Coaldale church.Presbyterian churchThe schedule of services for the Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill, for Sunday, Sept. 26, is as follows:Junior choir rehearsal, 8:45 a.m.; Sunday school, 9:15 a.m.; worship service, 10:30 a.m.; and Fellowship coffee time, 11:30 a.m., or after the worship service.The Chancel Choir will rehearse at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29.The Presbyterian Women will resume meeting on the second Monday of each month at 1 p.m. All women of the church are welcome to participate.LansfordDelinquent billsLansford Borough will be conducting the Delinquent Sewer Transmission collection shortly.
