Monroe juvenile jailed in stabbing incident

A female juvenile in Monroe County was jailed on Tuesday after she allegedly stabbed another female juvenile with a pair of scissors at a school bus stop.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said the incident occurred about 3:26 p.m. along SR115 at Arthur Way.Police received a call for a fight in progress with injuries and were later informed that scissors were involved.At the scene officers spoke with the juvenile victim, who stated she was stabbed by another female. Police said the investigation revealed that a fight erupted after four females were dropped off from a school bus. An argument started which led to physical contact between the four.During the physical contact one of the four pulled out a pair of scissors and stabbed the victim in the ear and neck. Police did not indicate if the victim required medical attention.The female suspect was placed under arrest and charged as an adult with aggravated and simple assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and harassment.She was lodged in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment, police said. Police did not indicate the age of any of the persons involved.
