Vehicle reported stolen in Kidder

Kidder Township police are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle, which was later recovered.

Police said a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser was parked in a garage at a Red Wood Drive residence in Holiday Pocono and was reported stolen on Sunday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m. The theft ocurred sometime overnight. Police said the vehicle was found Monday damaged and abandoned along Upper Middle Creek Rd, in Polk Township, Monroe County. The probe into the theft is continuing. Police declined to list the owner of the vehicle.Two burglaries are also being probed.A home along River Road, in the Tannery section of the township was entered via a dinning room window. Taken were numerous household items. The incident was reported on Sept. 8 at 1:25 p.m.The second entry was reproted on Sept. 12 at 3:39 p.m. A home along North Lake Shore Drive was entered through a rear door. It appears the criminal fled when an interior alarm went off, police said.Police declined to identify the home owners.
