Palmerton Community Festival strawberry shortcake anyone? These fine ladies working at the Palmerton Hospital Auxiliary stand Saturday afternoon took time out to ham it up for a quick picture. This was the thirteenth-year the auxiliary has been making the delicious dessert. The volunteers' matching strawberry aprons add a special touch to their booth. It was even rumored that one gentleman drove over one hour just for one of the yellow cake squares, topped with sweet strawberries and piled high with whipped cream.
