Geocaching journey set at PPL's center at Lake Wallenpaupack

An afternoon of learning about the basics of GPS operation and geocaching - a simple, adventurous activity that uses GPS technology to find hidden treasures will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2 at PPL's Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center.

Gene Shultz, Wallenpaupack Area High School teacher and geocaching enthusiast will lead an exploration of some local geocaches including a new cache on the Wallenpaupack Creek Trail, which takes you on a journey along the hydroelectric plant's flow line and stream bed.This program is free and open to the public.
