Missionary visitors

Kurt and Cynthia Zimmerman, career missionaries with World Gospel Mission, will be visiting Effort United Methodist Church Sept. 18-19.Serving in Bolivia, the Zimmermans will speak and show slides at the 5 p.m. service Saturday evening and at both the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services on Sunday. Community residents are invited to attend any of the services.While in Bolivia, Kurt Zimmerman has taught fifth and sixth grades and coached baseball and basketball. He serves as a youth leader, counselor, and music ministry team leader at Cristo Viene Church.Cynthia, is a high school math teacher at Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center. She also ministers as a Sunday School teacher at Cristo Viene Church. After their homeland ministry assignment, the Zimmermans will return to their ministries in Bolivia.The first World Gospel Mission missionaries arrived in Bolivia in January 1944. The main ministries in Bolivia are church planting and evangelism. WGM, headquartered in Marion, Indiana, is an interdenominational missionary organization.
