More than 2,000 persons including the governor of Pennsylvania passed the coffin of the late Colonel Frank McCartney in state today in the Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighotn. Colonel McCartney, a former state police commissioner, died earlier this week. Governor Milton Shapp arrived in Lehighton at about 7 p.m. Others who attended during the day were the current State Police Commissioner Col. James Barger; William Wilcox, Secretary of Community Affairs, and former State Police Commissioner Frank McKetta.
