Motorcycle strikes car in Tamaqua

Around 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, Tamaqua emergency crews were called to the intersection of Spruce and Oak Street in response to a two-vehicle accident involving a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a red Toyota sedan. Reportedly, a male driver and female passenger of the motorcycle were driving west on Spruce Street when they drove through a stop sign and collided into the side of a red Toyota sedan out from Oak Street. The female passenger of the motorcycle was treated on-scene for injuries to her left arm. The driver of the bike and other drivers passing by state that the school buses that temporarily park at that intersection hinder the view of the stop signs until it is too late. South Ward Fire Company, Tamaqua ambulance, police, and fire police responded.
