At 7 p.m. each Wednesday St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St.,Lansford, holds an informal worship: a spiritual, peaceful eveningservice with Holy Communion. All are welcome to this relaxed, briefevening prayer. Sixty five members enjoyed the affair. Everyone agreed to hold the picnic annually.Ruth Ann Feane read a poem "The Beach". . appropriate for the season. Sue Dopira led the singing with a good variety of songs.The Hospitality Committee for September and October are Minnie Kennedy, Lucille Hosier, Mary Ann Stotelmyer, and Betty Marek.The next meeting will be held on September 13 at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Social Hall in Summit Hill. Bingo is scheduled to be played after the meeting.NCFC auxilaryThe Ladies Auxiliary to the New Columbus Fire Company will hold a meeting tonight (Sept. 7) at the fire company at 7 p.m. with president Gerry McConnon in charge.
