Mt. Carmel man gets state prison term for Barnesville burglary

A Mt. Carmel man pleaded guilty to burglarizing a Barnesville home and drew a state prison sentence from President Judge William E. Baldlwin in Schuylkill County Court. Nine others who pleaded guilty were also sentenced.

Matthew Robert Oshman, 21. Mount Carmel, for two burglaries was sentenced to serve 12 to 24 months in a state correctional institution with credit for serving 147 days in the County Prison. He was also ordered to pay $100 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA)) and make restitution of $$4,7444.64 to Hartfrant Insurance Company for the Barnesville burglary and $1,100 to All-Risks Insurance Company and $1,350 to Denise Hanrahan, of Mahanoy Township, for theft of personal property. He was cited by Trooper Brent Solees for entering the property at 430 Orchard Road, Barnesville, on Sept. 13, 2009, and taking jewelry which he pawned at Buy Me Again Pawn Shop, Pottsville, for $2,000. He was also charged by Trooper James Cuttitta with burglary of residence at 472 Roosevelt Drive, Mahanoy Township, on Aug. 31, 2009.Frank David Vannicolo, Minersville, burglary of Minersville General Store, sentenced to serve one to 23 months in the county prison and make restitution of $1,925 to Mangit Kauer and $4,267.57 to Knightbrook Insurance Company,James Edward Drob, 47, of 501 S. Kennedy Driivej, McAdoo, on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance from his home was sentenced to serve one to two years in a state correctional institution with credit of serving 175 days in the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA and make restituition of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab and $60 to McAdoo Police Drug Task Force.Mark Norman Zimmerman, 33, Ashland, possession of a controlled substance, received credit for serving 13 days in the county prison and was placed on parole for 12 months, pay a fine of $200, pay $50 to CJEA, make restitution of $226 to Bethlehem Regional Lab and $60 to Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.Ronald Lawrence Bridy, 50, Saint Clair, for indecent assault was sentenced to serve six to 23 months in the county prison with credit for serving 146 days.Harry Oscar Dunleavy Jr., 46, Pitman, Eldred Township, for assaulting his girlfriend, Melissa Smith, was sentenced to serve three to 23 months in the county prison with credit for serving 52 days and pay $50 to CJEA.Michael Shane Bruce, 32, Oxford, Ala., on charges retail theft at Walmart Store, Saint Clair, receiving stolen property and identity theft, was given credit for serving 171 days in the county prison and placed on parole for 23 months, pay $50 to CJEA and make restitution of $159 the the store.Corey Jay Leininger, Pine Grove, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia placed on probation 18 months, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund and make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. She received credit for serving 12 days in the county prison.Christopher Michael Zweizig, 21, Pottsville, for assaulting his father, Ronald Zweizig, was given credit for serving 87 days in the county prison and released on parole for 23 months and on a charge of harassment was fined $150 and costs.Michael John Lorah, 34, Pottsville, theft of medications from Schuylkill Medical Center, Pottsville, was sentenced to serve three to 23 months in the county prison with credit for having served 132 days and make restitution of $59 to the hospital. On a charge of unauthorized use of a car owned by Alaina Cardens-Kramer, Pine Grove, was given a concurrent 12 months probation sentence and make restitution of $640 to the victim.Michelle Ann Willie, 41, Pottsville, receiving stolen property, placed on probation 23 months, pay $50 to CJEA and make restitution of $1,244.43 to James Milbrandt, Minersville.Each defendant must also pay court costs and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
