Sam and Michele Kitchko of Nesquehoning announce the engagement of their son, Michael, to Saunsanie Ramos, daughter of Sally Graves and John and Maria Ramos of Dunkirk, N.Y.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Lehigh University, where he earned a degree in chemical engineering. He is employed by the Dow Chemical Company, supporting a production facility in Philadelphia and an expansion project in Northern Italy.The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of St. Bonaventure University, where she earned a degree in marketing. She served four years in the United States Army, discharging honorably as a captain and veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She is currently employed by Devicor Medical Products of New Jersey.The couple is planning a New Year's Eve wedding.
