A Palmerton man was sentenced to a long county prison term on Tuesday after pleading guilty in Carbon County court to his part in a home invasion robbery incident in Lansford.

Ryan K. Dillman, 22, was sentenced by Judge Steven R. Serfass to serve one day less one year to one day less two years on a charge of robbery, as a felony two.Dillman admitted his part in a incident that occurred on Dec. 18 at the home of Derek Hunsicker, 21, of E. Snyder Ave. According to borough police Dillman was one of four who forced their way into the home. The four were allegedly looking for "money and drugs."Also charged in the incident was Dillman's brother, Jarred Dillman, 20, of Palmerton; Joshua Barlip, 19, of Lansford; and Justin Scott Nahf, 21, of Dublin, Bucks County. Barlip, Nahf and Jarred Dillman cases are still pending.Hunsicker told police he was at his home with his brother, Rick, 23, and a cousin when he heard a knock on the fornt door about 9:24 p.m. He said when he looked out the window he saw Barlip holding a gun that was pointed at him. He said his brother and cousin ran to the basement. Barlip and the other three defendants then came into the home.Hunsicker testified at a preliminary hearing held in the case that Nahf asked him where "money and drugs were."Dillman claimed he did not have a weapon but that Barlip and Nahf had the handguns.Dillman apologized for this actions and he was remorseful.Dillman, Serfass noted, was on probation for a theft charge at the time of the incident. Serfass said, "You made very poor choices."In addition to the jail term Serfass ordered Dillman to supply a DNA sample and pay the $250 fee. He was given credit for 256 days spent in prison to date on the charges. He must also pay court costs and a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole.
