Tomorrow is Meet the Teacher Night at Weatherly Area Elementary School. Doors open at 5:45pm. Sessions start at 6 p.m.

Meet the Teacher Night at Weatherly Area Middle School will be held on Thursday, September 9, at 6 p.m.Parents are invited to come and meet their child(ren)'s teachers and learn the objectives for the school year. Some of the topics to be covered include curriculum, daily schedule, discipline, safe school procedures, student expectations, grading and homework. Also, you will hear about scheduling a parent-teacher conference and state standards and state assessment.At 6 p.m. sixth grade parents are asked to meet the teachers in the middle school large group instruction room (LGI). This session ends at 6:30. Seventh grade parents are invited to the session that begins at 6:40 p.m. and ends at 7:10 in the MS LGI. The eighth grade parents will meet the teachers in the MS LGI from 7:20 p.m. to 7:50.Encore teachers and various administrators will be available from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Those planning to attend include Barbara Adams, library; Margaret Brown, guidance counselor; Amanda Derr, music, band, chorus; Monica Falatko, physical education, health; Bobbi Kufro, consumer science; Susan Lenhardt, art; John McGee, computers; Shannon Shugart, music, band; Michael Ziegler, technology education; and Scott Zoscin, athletic director.Superintendent Frank Victor and Elementary/ Middle School Principal Sandra Slavick will also be available that evening to meet parents.For a donation of $2 per child, the PTA will provide child-sitting for children ages 4-11. A parent must sign the child in at the cafeteria and sign them out again as they leave. Please call PTA President Tara Bresnak at 443-5726 by Tuesday, August 31st to register your child so that enough help is available.Please enter through the middle school doors. Parking will be open in the rear lot. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. Please do not take children into the classroom, or LGI with you. Please remember that these sessions are not for parent teacher conferences. Dates will be available in November to schedule parent teacher conferences.The High School Meet the Teacher Night will be held on Thursday, September 16. PTA membership at $6 will be available that evening as well. New this year will be a Homeroom Parent Orientation held on Wednesday, September 29 at 7 p.m. in the LGI Room.
