Tamaqua woman wins appeal of harassment conviction

A Tamaqua woman won her appeal in the Schuylkill County Court from a summary conviction but an Andreas man was not so successful. The hearings were held recently before Judge Jacqueline Russell.

Amy J. Kranch, 41, of 244 W. Rowe St., was adjudged not guilty of a harrassment charge which was to have occurred at the Happy Endings Bar in Tamaqua last April 12.Michael John Fannoch, 1152 Spring Road, Andreas, West Penn Township, lost his appeal from a disorderly conduct charge and must pay a fine of $300 plus $137 costs. He was charged with creating burn outs with his car in a parking lot in Tamaqua.Tina Marie Lewandowski, 74 Wood St., Ringtown, lost her appeal from violating the school compulsary attendants rule. She permitted a child to be absent from North Schuylkill School District on certain days in November, December and January. She has to pay a fine of $50 plus $165 costs.Ronald A. Griffiths, 22, 224 Main St., Pottsville, withdrew his appeal and has to pay a fine of $25 and $60 costs for illegal racing in Pottsville.William P. Tanner, 51, od 1986 Brickyard Road, Allentown, lost his appeal from a speeding charge in Hometown, Rush Township, and has to pay a fine of $45 plus $84.50 costs. He was reported traveling 57 miles per hour in a 35 zone.
