The Panther Valley School Baord agreed to take immediate action that will rid the middle school in Lansford of "friable asbestos." That action came after results of a study conducted in the district's schools were presented by business manager nancy Kunzweiler. Dr. Andrew Chichura, superintendent of schools, said the asbestos in the middle school is in the basement hallway and in a number of rooms in the basement area.
