Lehighton Borough council set the salary of new borough manager, Paul L. McCauley, at $7,000 annually. McCauley was administered the oath of office by Burgess James Beisel. Since the resignation of Walter H. Niehoff last March, John Horn, superintendent of public works, has been acting borough manager at an additional salary of $75 per month. During this time, Betty Frable, chief clerk, was also paid an additional $25 a month for extra duties.
