Trinity Lutheran Church, Lehighton, celebrated Scholarship Sunday by awarding 28 scholarships to deserving individuals. A total of $9,940 in scholarships were awarded this year.

Presented the George Acker Scholarship were, Chris Druckenmiller, $500; Alexander Kennedy, $500; and Tom Scornavacchi, $400. Awarded the Rev. Raymond A. Minnich Memorial Scholarship were Alina Gayeuski, $750; and Jennifer Soltis, $750.The $500 Thomas L. Reisenweaver Music Scholarship was awarded to Cassandra Reichard.Eight individuals were each awarded $450 through the Trinity Higher Education Scholarship. Awardees are Erin Rupell, Emily Mulcahy, Molly Markley, Heather Schweitzer, Ethan Schaeffer, Sarah Snyder, Keri Marshall and Dwight Weaver.Four students each were presented $100 Krieger Memorial Scholarships. Students are Keri Marshall, Ethan Schaeffer, Emily Mulcahy and Sarah Snyder.Awarded the Jean D. and Robert A. Benner Nursing Scholarship of $245 were Jenelle Fronheiser, RaeAnn Rehrig, Kacey Galasso, Rebecca Boyer, Tori Steigerwalt, Kaitlin Westermann and Alyssa Knappenberger. Presented the Loretta K. Shirar Nursing Scholarship of $275 were Tori Steigerwalt, Alyssa Knappenberger and Jenelle Fronheiser.
