A Lehighton company was honored by the General Motors Corporation for excellence in quality and technology. Blue Ridge Pressure Castings Inc., Bridge Street, received GM's prestigious "Target for Excellence" award during a program held in the National Guard Armory across the street from the company. Blue Ridge provides 35 different parts for each of the 150,000 transmissions built each year for GM's Allison Transmission Division in Indianapolis.
