Pocono arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on several arrests made by officers recently.

On Saturday, July 17, about 3:49 a.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic incident at 2804 Dorset Rd., in Pocono Farms East development in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township.On scene officers determined that Steven Frederick, 22, of Blakeslee, and his girlfriend, Condnisha Allen, of that address, had an argument which escalated into a physical altercation.Frederick allegedly struck Allen causing an injury to her face. Frederick was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment. He was transported to the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment, police said.Also on Saturday, about 6:25 p.m., officers were called to the Walmart store in Mt. Pocono for a report of a person in custody by store security for retail theft.The suspect was identified as Juan Nunez, 19, of Tobyhanna. Police said Nunez was observed consuming a soft drink and concealing a DVD movie and then exiting the store without paying for the merchandise.Nunez was cited and then released.Police said on July 15 about 5 p.m. officers responded to 5396 Vine Terrace in Tobyhanna to serve a warrant issued out of Union County, N.J. The wanted person was found and identified as Gary Bradford. Bradford was wanted for fraudulent use of a credit card, police said.He was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the county prison pending extradition to New Jersey.On Sunday, July 18, about 3:09 a.m. officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious male lying in the middle of SR196 north of the Tobyhanna Shopping Plaza. Found was David Clowney, 42, of Tobyhanna.He was found to be intoxicated to a point he was a danger to himself. He was placed under arrest for public drunkenness and transported to his home where he was released to the custody of his wife.
