Come one, come all to the 19th Annual Lehigh Township Co. Fair

The 19th Annual Lehigh Township Country Fair will be held at Indian Trail Park, Route 248, Pennsville, PA on July 14 thru 17. The Country Fair hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 5-11 p.m. and Saturday 1-11 p.m.

New to this year's Country Fair will be that we are now open four days. Country Fair kick off night will be on Wednesday with a special giveaway night to the first 250 kids that visit the emergency services display (for ages 14 and under) located in the garage near the restrooms.Three ride specials will be offered during the Country Fair that offers savings for families. Wednesday and Thursday from 6-9:30 p.m. there will be a pay one price of $17 per rider. Saturday's matinee will include a special ride special from 1-4:30 p.m. whereas the first 100 kids ride for free (up to 14 years of age) sponsored by the Schisler family and Lehigh Township Vol. Fire Co., then with all others paying the pay one price of $17 per rider.Bring your lawn chairs for the rain/shine entertainment tent and enjoy the free entertainment. Scheduled entertainment for Wednesday is "Lucky 7 & The Casino Horns" (R & B dance band that plays hits from the 60s to the present) from 7-10 p.m. sponsored by Becker Homes & Lorah Excavating; Thursday is "Jeremiah James & The Tandem Band" (high energy country band) from 7-10 p.m. sponsored by Brown Daub Wind Gap and Cherryville Service Center; Friday is "Hollywood Nights" (a tribute to Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet band) from 7-10 p.m. sponsored by Blue Ridge Communications and Lehigh Township Vol. Fire Co. and at approximately 10 p.m. a spectacular fireworks display (rain date Saturday) sponsored by Susquehanna Bank and LTNT Pyrotechs, Inc.; and Saturday is "The Tracy Lee Band" (country band) from 2-5 p.m. sponsored by Bethany Wesleyan Church and Livengood Excavators and "Dave Rehrig & The Twitty Fever Band" from 7-10 p.m. sponsored by First Niagara Bank.The Miller-Keystone Mobile Unit to donate blood on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. To donate blood that day, appointments are preferred. www.giveapint.org .Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. will be Opening Ceremonies in the rain/shine band tent.Thursday activities include Blue Mountain Quarter Midget Club with their cars on display 6-9 p.m. For Friday night will be Lehigh Township Safety Enforcement Unit - DUI (driving under the influence) trailer and children's I.D. kits starting at 6 p.m. Also starting at 6 p.m. you'll be able to meet racecar drivers and cars with displays - Eric Beers, Bob Beidleman, Austin Kochenash, Kevin Kromer, Steve Nederostek, Tim Pitts, and Dennis Silfies.Saturday will be Kids Day, with lots of activities scheduled for the whole afternoon. The first activity scheduled for the afternoon is the Little Miss Country Fair pageant at 12:30 p.m. sponsored by Lehigh Township Vol. Fire Co. Entrants must be residents of Lehigh Township and be between the ages of 4 and 12 years old. They will be judged on poise, posture and personality. The winner will receive a first-place ribbon, roses, a sash and a tiara. All contestants will receive a Certificate of Participation plus a coupon for a free hot dog and soda to be used at the Fire Company food stand. Registration at the Country Fair will be on Saturday, July 17 from 11:45 p.m. to 12:15 p.m.; or you may call Wanda at 610-767-9082 to pre-register no later than July 14 or for additional information on the pageant.Bring the kids for special activities to begin at 1 p.m.: Lehigh Township Fire Safety House demonstration; Kids Workshop sponsored by Home Depot from 1-4 p.m.The Lehigh Township Fire Safety House Demonstration is for the whole family to learn about fire safety. The fire company has this special educational tool, a self-contained 35-foot, single level fire safety house and is ADA (American Disability Act) compliant and handicap accessible. The simulated fire prevention trailer is for children as well as senior citizens.On Saturday from 3-4 p.m. come out to the Country Fair and make your own free ice cream sundae with the ice cream sponsored by Ice Cream Lab of Walnutport. This is a first come, first serve, and limited giveaway. The ice cream will be given out at the fire company concession stand.If you are not sure where there is a specific activity, please stop by the Information Booth after crossing the bridge.The Country Fair offers a lot of daily activities. Bring the children to the Country Fair to enter the Coloring Contest. All pictures must be colored at the fair at the coloring tables set up where the volleyball court area is located (across the street from the restored Trading Post), with the crayons to color being sponsored by Binney & Smith of Easton. The contest is for children ages three thru eleven years old and will be judged on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The prize for the 3-5 years old category will receive a new 16" bicycle; 6-8 years old category will receive a new 20" bicycle; and 9-11 years old category will receive a new 24" bicycle. The bikes are sponsored by Dale's French Fries of Kunkletown. Remember you must do the coloring at the Country Fair in order to qualify. There will be one winner per age group. Winners will be notified.Before closing the Country Fair on Saturday evening, there will be drawings for the Chinese auction at 9 p.m. and the money raffle at 10 p.m. Tickets for the money raffle may be purchased at the Country Fair Information booth or for advance tickets please call 610-767-7111. You need not be present to win - all winners will be notified.Lehigh Township Historical Society will have the Lehigh Township Historical Centre (formerly Trading Post) open in the early evening.The Country Fair will also feature artist Donna Haney with portraits and cartoons, sand art, Emergency Service Display, cash bingo, Chinese auction, world famous Lehigh Township Duck Races, games, lots of good food, commercial exhibits, crafts under tents, prize scramble where everybody is a winner, rides by Goodtime Amusements, TJ the Clown, Boy Scout Venture Crew 115's peach cobbler, plus so much more. There is free admission and $5 parking per vehicle.
