Summit Hill man hurt in Rush accident

A 39 year-old Summit Hill man was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Saturday, July 3. Rush Township Police report that at 2:58 a.m., Jason Suzadail from Summit Hill was traveling north on SR309 and hit a rock embankment, which caused him to go across three lanes and strike a billboard, where he was trapped in his vehicle and had to be removed by rescue personnel. Suzadail was then airlifted by Penn Star helicopter to St Lukes in Bethlehem. He was driving a Chevrolet TrailBlazer. Ryan Township and Tamaqua police assisted at the scene, along with the Hometown Fire Company and Fire Police and Tamaqua Rescue Squad. Alcohol may have played a roll in the accident, said police, who are waiting on the BAC results.
