Efforts to save the valuable program of the Carbon County Red Cross Chapter are being continued with the latest donation of $100 coming from the Lehighton Garden Club. the Lehighton Chamber of Commerce also made a donation of $10 while smaller amounts have been donated by area residents. Although the contributions have shown a slight increase, the chapter reports that only $303 has been received, far short of the $8,000 that is needed for the program's continuance.
