A Slatington man is facing charges following an incident in the borough that occurred on Monday, June 14.

Borough police said about 8:57 p.m. officers responded to the area of 41 Dowell St. for a report of a armed person. Upon arrival officers found Armand Francis Jean Jr., 25, of 59 Dowell St., Apt. 2, at the scene. Jean was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was in possession of an open container of alcohol. Police said prior to their arrival Jean was in possession of a pellet gun which had the resemblance of an actual hand gun.Police charged Jean with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and violation of a borough ordinance for possessing an open container of alcohol.
