Attends conclave

Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Higgins of Nesquehoning and Mrs. Karen Remaley of Lehighton returned home after spending several days attending the 157th Annual Grand Conclave of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Pennsylvania which was held at the Avalon Hotel in Erie.The conclave opened with a divine service when the Grand Prelate Richard Stinson delivered the sermon entitled "Narrowing the Gap."They attended the Division Commander's banquet, where several commanderies received awards, as well as the Grand Tourmoil Ball, followed by a make your own sundae.The Grand Commander's banquet was held in the Grand Ballroom. Many reports from within the organization were presented along with the budget. An election was held for the new officers after which an open installation was held.Higgins, chairman of the credentials committee, presented his report in the body of the open conclave. While in Erie, they also spent some time visiting their grandson and son, Todd Remaley, who is attending medical school in that city.
