Nesquehoning Police Chief Sean Smith released the following information concerning incidents in the borough over the past Memorial Day weekend.

On May 28 about 11:13 p.m. Officers Tim Wuttke and Carl Breiner were dispatched to a domestic incident at 24 Allen St. On scene officers spoke with Jen Shaika, who had a verbal argument with Jaden Diacheysn. Shaika became unruly and was arrested for disorderly conduct. Police also learned there may be drugs in the home and conducted a search. As a result Diacheysn will be charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.ON May 29 about 10:39 p.m. Officers Wuttke and Breiner were dispatched to a fight involving a firearm in the 100 block of W. Railroad St. Upon arrivals officers learned there was a physical altercation between Dante Matos and Oliberto Vega. Matos fled the scene prior to the arrival police. Due to conflicting stories form witnesses and the victim charges are pending in the matter.On May 30 at 1:02 a.m. Officers Wuttke and Breiner were called to 11 Willow Lane for the assault of a 16-year-old juvenile. Upon arrival officers spoke to the juvenile and his parents. The juvenile had several lacerations to his face, police said.The juvenile related he and a friend went to the above address to see his ex-girlfriend and were confronted by Zach Rossi. Rossie allegedly threatened the juvenile and then punched through the glass window of the basement striking the juvenile in the face causing injuries. Rossi was taken into custody. It was then learned that Rossi had a bench warrant for his arrest out of Wyoming County. Rossi was charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment. The juvenile needed stitches to close his wounds, police noted. The two juveniles were cited for curfew violations and trespass.On May 30 about 1:48 a.m. Officer Briener was dispatched to the intersection of Railroad and School sts., for an assault. Upon arrival the officer found Walter Watson on the step of a home near the intersection. He told the officer he was assaulted by person who fled the scene. Watson was highly intoxicated and suffering from head injuries from a fight. Watson was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Charges are pending.On May 30- about 10;18 a.m. Chief Smith and Officer Ronald Peck were dispatched to 95 W. Railroad S., for a domestic incident. Upon arrival officers her a male and female arguing inside the residence. The male was identified as Adam Miller and gave a birth date. No record was found of the male. A name provided by the person who called in the complaint gave the name of Adam Mcewan. That name was checked and it was learned that he was wanted out of Mayes County, Okla. After receiving the photos a positive identification was made and Mcewan was taken into custody on a fugitive from justice warrant. He was arraigned before duty District Judge Joseph Homanko, of Weatherly, and committed to the county prison. Mcewan will be extradited to Oklahoma, police said. Also, Mcewan admitted he was the person who assault Walter Watson earlier in the morning.On May 31 about 4:16 p.m. Officer Wuttke was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Railroad St., for a fight in progress. Upon arrival Wuttke learned that a mother and daughter were in a fistfight on the sidewalk over a child custody issue. As a result of an investigation Evalin Rolon and Elaine Rodruguez were both cited for harassment and disorderly conduct. Dante Matos was also cited for harassment for allegedly threatening Rolon prior to the fight.Police noted there were several incidents over the weekend in the 100 block of W. Railroad St. including a report of four males with baseball bats fighting.
