Pocono arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on several arrests made by officers in recent days.

On May 30 about 5:20 a.m. officers were dispatched to Klock Road to a report of a man in front of a residence knocking on the door wearing only jeans and socks. Upon arrival officers found Dennis Vines, 31, of Parlin, N.J., who was visibly intoxicated and incoherent to a degree officers felt he was a danger to himself and others.He was placed under arrest for public drunkenness and transported to the county prison in Snydersville where he was lodged pending arraignment.On May 29 about 11:36 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop along Knox St. in Mt. Pocono for vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as a 17-year-old female from Mt. Pocono. It was determined she had been consuming alcohol and was arrested for underage drinking. She was later released to the custody of a parent.On May 27 about 8:30 a.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Salamanca and Hemlock in Pocono Farms development for a scattering of rubbish complaint.Upon arrival officers were advised of an incident where household furniture was thrown into a wooded area near Salamanca Lane. Through an investigation police identified Lisa James, 38, of Tobyhanna, was the person responsible. Contact was made with her and she admitted to the violation, police said.She was charged with scattering rubbish.
