Salvation Army visited by traveling Catholic roadie

John Sebek isn't your ordinary Christian. Sebek spends a couple of months at his home in Challis, Idaho, and the rest of the year on the road visiting communities throughout the United States and happily spreading the word of God, carrying himself like a Catholic Roadie.

This week his travels found him visiting the Tamaqua area.John has been involved in an evangelical ministry called "Hiking For Christ" for more than 25 years. The purpose of his ministry and calling for John's life is to quite literally traverse the highways and byways of the United States sharing words of God with everyone he meets.John's special gifting is in the area of evangelism. He routinely visits churches and religious organizations sharing his stories of his travels.
