Found guilty

Timothy Stephen Keer, 46, of 101 E. Phillip St., Coaldale, was found guilty by Judge D. Michael Stine following a non-jury trial of criminal charges of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, driving while his operating privileges were suspended and careless driving. The judge found him not guilty of a charge of disorderly conduct.Keer has been ordered to appear for sentencing on Tuesday, July 20, at 9:30 a.m., meanwhile he remains free on his current bail.Keer challenged in court testimony of Patrolman Charles Blesse, Coaldale police, who cited him on Dec. 12, 2008. Keer produced two fellow workers who testified they did not see him drinking during working hours and a girlfriend who picked him up after work said he drank only one swig of wine they bought at a liquor store after work. Keer was arrested a half hour after leaving work.The judge believed the officer.File for divorceMissandra J. Malzberg, 105 W. They were married Jan. 27, 2003.Mortgage foreclosureWells Fargo Bank, fort Mills, S.C., started a suit against Jaime S. Moser also known as Jamie Sue Anthony, to seek a judgement foreclosure on a property at 745 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, for alleged default in payments. A judgement for $63,196.17 is being sought.JP Morgan Chase Bank, Jacksonville, Fla., filed suit against Mary L. Bevan and Mark D. Bevan, 101 Paint Lane, New Ringgold, claiming they defaulted on mortgage payments on the property located on East Ridge View Drive in Ridgeview Development, Orwigsburg. A judgement for $174,894.49 is being sought.Rule on appealHoneywell Innternational Inc., owner of industrial plants on 26.785 acres near Marlin, Norwegian Township, won a reduction in the value of its properties.The Pottsville Area School District had appealed to the Schuylkill County Tax Assessment Appeals Board which raised the market value to $3,400,000. Honeywell appealed the decision and Judge Jacqueline Russell reduced the market value to $3 million and set the assessment for 2010 taxes at $1,197,000.Modify bailJudge D. Michael Stine modified the bail for Alden Whateley, 44, of 34 E. Union St., Tamaqua, to $20,000 cash or cash equivalant. The judge placed conditions on the bail, Whateley must reside at the Tamaqua address and not relocate without getting approval from the court. He also shall refrain from the possession, transportation, or use of any alcohol or controlled substance.Stine noted that testimony at the bail hearing revealed Whateley lacks a recent work history, has virtualy no assets and has limited family within this jurisdiction. The court pointed out the record shows he has multiple drug related offenses pending against him and faces significant criminal sanctions if convicted.Stine also modified the bail of Lance R.
