Pedestrian struck by hit/run driver

A pedestrian was struck by a hit and run driver in Monroe County. State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred about 9:35 p.m. on May 7 along SR115 in Chestnuthill Township.

Troopers said Ebony P. Crick, 17, of Effort, was walking north along the southbound shoulder when a vehicle passed her. Her right forearm was struck by the passenger side mirror of the vehicle. The driver failed to stop after contact and continued southbound.Crick sustained a minor injury that did not require immediate medical attention.Troopers also reported investigating a two-vehicle crash on May 14 about 2:50 p.m. along SR209, just east of Chestnut Lane, in Chestnuthill Township.Troopers said Andrew M. Deegan, 17, of Brodheadsville, and Richard L. Finelli, 17, of Saylorsburg, were both southbound. Finelli stopped for a traffic light and his 2002 Volkswagen Jetta was struck in the rear by Deegan's 1996 Buick LaSabre. No one was injured. Troopers cited Deegan for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
