High Street closed

High Street will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, May 24 at 7 a.m. This is due to the reconstruction of the wall between 123 and 127 High St. Work will be done weather permitting and expected to be finished in August. If you have any questions, please call the borough office.Bereavement SpeakerLee Zink, Mauch Chunk Trust Company, Wealth Management Division manager, will be the guest speaker at St. Joseph's Church bereavement group on Monday, May 24, at 7 p.m. The group meets in the Brogan Room of the church, located behind the church rectory. Zink will speak on "financial planning following the loss of a spouse." His background includes 16 years working in financial services including Chartered Financial Consultant and Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.If you are suffering from the loss of a spouse come and listen to Zink.If you have questions contact the rectory, 325-3731.Community SupperSt. Mark's/St. John's Episcopal Church, Race St., will host the monthly free community supper on Sunday, May 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. The meal this month will be a picnic style.
