What you neglected to report the other day in your article about the Yuengling beer truck snapping off a telephone pole at the Five Points intersection is the disgust of Tamaqua residents over the amount of truck traffic in the borough.People think this is a big problem and hope for some solution to the problem such as a bypass or restricting tractor trailer and dump or tri-axle truck traffic to route 209 only, except for local deleveries. The incident the other day could have been a lot worse considering onlookers were running around downed electrical lines taking pictures with their cellphones and cameras. Someone could have been electrocuted.It sure seemed like the town was not prepared for an emergency of this type and magnitude.Gary Whiteg759710@yahoo.com
