State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Schuylkill County residence and an attempted break-in at a county fire company.

Troopers said the home of Sharon Brish, 50, of 179 Market St., Cumbola, Blythe Township, was entered sometime between 1 p.m. on May 1 and 11:03 a.m. on May 2. Several items were removed from the home and there was also property damage.The attempted break-in occurred at the Duncott Fire Company building located in Cass Township. Unknown persons attempted to pry open a rear door but failed to gain entry. The incident occurred sometime between May 6 at noon and May 9 at 6 a.m.
