Lt. Karen Flexer, center, of the Carbon County Sheriff's Department in Jim Thorpe was honored by her peers recently for her 10 years of service in the department. During a special luncheon on Friday, Flexer was presented with a plaque from Sheriff Dwight Nothstein, second from left, that recognized her hard work and dedication to Carbon County.
