Members of the LAOH will hold their meeting on Sunday, May 16, at 7 p.m. at McGinley Hall.

Bereavement group speaker announcedDavid Dagon, case worker at Services for Older Adults, Catholic Charities will be the speaker at St. Joseph Church, 526 North St., on the topic of bereavement. Dagon's background includes 21 years of working as a therapist with the outpatient division of Turning Point in Schuylkill County, counseling individuals suffering from major life changes. If you are suffering from the loss of a loved one, come listen to him speak on Monday, May 17, at 7 p.m. in the Brogan Room located in the rear of the church rectory. Contact the rectory, (570) 325-3731 for information.Bible school slatedPlans are now being made for Vacation Bible School sponsored by the Jim Thorpe Ministerium. It will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, South Ave. The theme this year is "Baobab Blast, God's Great Get Together." The program is open to children 2 years of age to those that have finished 6th grade. It will run from July 12-16. There will be Bible stories, crafts, games, and loads of singing. Information will be distributed to the churches of the community at a later date.
