A two vehicle accident occurred about 2 p.m. on Saturday on Center Street (SR309) in Tamaqua. Reportedly, a blue 2000 Kia Sophia, driven by Christine Brobst-Chakan, was traveling north when she hit a 2003 Toyota Corolla driven by Michael Conforti who was turning into Burger King off of Center Street while traffic was stopped. No one was hurt. Fire police directed traffic around the area until the scene was cleared.
