A total of 1,554 free chest x-rays have been given residents of Palmerton and Lehighton during the first two days of the free service provided by the Carbon County TB and Public Health Society. The mobile unit was stationed in Palmerton when 673 x-rays were given and in Lehighton, taking 881 x-rays. The x-rays are to help detect individuals who might have tuberculosis.
