Historical Society

The monthly program for the Palmerton Area Historical Society will be a visit to the Anoopam Mission and Hindu Temple on Clearview Road, Coplay. At 7 p.m. on Monday, May 10, host Shree Patel will give the group background before attending the Hindu service. Attendees will need a pair of socks. Those planning to attend will car pool from Hager Furniture Store parking lot, Palmerton, at 6 p.m. Transportation is available for those needing a ride. A Mother's Day Tea will be held at 9:30 a.m. to honor moms on their special day. The breakfast tea will be presented by the Sunday school. Call the church office at (610) 826-2524 to make your reservations.Blood DriveFrom 4-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, a Miller-Keystone Blood Drive will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton. Appointments are required and may be made by calling the blood center at (610) 926-6060.
