Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin declared a mistrial in the malpractice suit brought by Robert Vaughn, Pottsville, against Dr. Benjamin P. Darhun and the Geisinger Medicall Group, Clinic and Health Sytem, all of Orwigsburg.

Baldwin declared the mistrial because Dr. Darhun took ill in court during the trial before a jury and was admitted in the Schuylkill Medical Center.The suit was brought on behalf of Vaughn's wife, Kahleen, who died while under treatment by the doctor.Attorney Fred Fanelli, counsel for Vaughan, announced although the Marshall-Rismiller and Associates, Pottsville, were listed as defendants in the original complaint that the filing against them was dismissed because it was found there was no wrong doing.
