Woman hurt in domestic incident

A Nesquehoning woman was seriously injured Sunday night in an apparent domestic dispute with her son. Just after 8 p.m. police and medics were dispatched to 317 East Catawissa St. for a 51-year-old woman who was reported pushed down a flight of steps. Nesquehoning, Jim Thorpe and Lansford police entered the home and took a male into custody. The woman, suffering from a possible serious leg and spinal injury, was treated at the scene by members of the Nesquehoning ambulance and Lehighton paramedics and transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township.
