Tamaqua police have cited a borough man for DUI following an incident on Friday morning.

Officers were on patrol at 2:50 a.m., when they observed a 1989 Ford pick up truck being driven on the wrong side of the roadway on Elm Street. The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Robert Laughlin, 50, of 545 E. Elm St., Tamaqua. Laughlin exhibited signs of intoxication and was given a portable breath test, which determined he had a .15 blood alcohol content.Laughlin was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving.
