That figures to the be theme behind the Palmerton Rod & Gun Club's annual fishing contest.The event will be held May 8 from 8-11 a.m. near the Palmerton VFW building off Forest Inn Road.Loretta George, club member, said the best time to get the fish to bite is at the onset of the contest."It will go until the kids all have their fish," Loretta George said. "There's quite a bit of big fish right now."Kenneth George, president of the club, said the event figures to be a big hit with kids."They will be allowed to catch five fish, and we have some fish in there that are beyond 24 inches," Kenneth George said. "We'll have some prizes."However, George stressed the event is not open to the general public, but to club members, their children and their grandchildren up to the age of 12 only.
