A meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Lehighton Municipal Building to plan the borough's Fourth of July celebration.

The event will benefit the Lehighton Downtown Initiative Committee.In charge of the meeting will be Opal Snyder.Snyder said Lehighton Borough Manager John C. Wagner will "catch us up to speed of what has been done and more importantly what our role will be in this event."Anyone with suggestions for the celebration or interested in assisting is asked by Snyder to attend the meeting.Also to be discussed will be the brick paver fund-raising program.
